it's an exciting first week when we get it down, fill it up and add the bubbles. it's a little piece of heaven for both them and for me.
after the trough's official inauguration into summer 2009, the boys decided to kill some time, bask in the sun and just talk about life. all while throwing back a few orange otter pops. -- because we don't waste the good flavors on little kids.
(20 minutes later i found them in this same position, only completely naked. their little tushies got burned.)

i feel the same way.
i wish my boys could hang in the trough. maybe in june.
we'll have a pool party when you guys finally move here. i'll even set out the beach chairs and umbrella next to the trough, because we're classy like that.
I love that you have a cow trough- So jealous:)
you're too good to me.
i'll bring the capri-sun.
i wished you lived around the corner, we'd be kickin' in the trough like every day! i mean that is if you would let us.
one of my favorite memories of '08 involves the cow trough... well, draining it and letting the kids get all muddy.
it's seriously a favorite memory of mine.
burnt bums are the worst.
don't ask me how i know that.
I even have a few VERY old memories of swimming in the trough. I'm glad it has found new youth to bring it some joy.
Is it bad that I still think inanimate objects have feelings?
they do, kathryn. they do. and he's feelin' good.
I'm sort of wishing I had a cow trough in my yard..
I actually really hate you with jealousy right now. Too bad, cuz I used to like you.
i love this idea! where ever did you manage to get a hold of a cow trough?! i'd trade my in ground chlorine & chemical sucking pool for one of these babies!!
