since i've begun my journey to becoming shredded, i've learned that i have a much more successful workout when the sound is on mute. i find her voice grating and her attaboys patronizing. after 2 full weeks i'm still on level 1 and, along with a lot of other aspects of my life, i'm completely comfortable with phoning it in. (you hear that, jillian? you don't scare me.)
check back with me in 16 days from now. i'm pretty sure my abs will not be shredded. and having to stare at these boys every workout is not making it any easier:
my favorite part is when owen acts genuinely surprised at how 'tricky' some of the moves are.
i feel you, owie. i feel you.

I just giggled through the whole thing. Don't feel bad, I've been doing that video on and off for a few months now & I am still on the first level too. The girl on the left makes me want to never eat again. Seriously never thought anyone had a body like Barbie until I saw her. Your boys were too cute :)
and aunts. cute to their mother and their aunt.
droopy diaper with shoes and that face... oh lellie.
and owen, such concentration. and that bum.
I love this.
this is miles' comment: "owie doing jillian too!!" i swear he wasn't being dirty. the 13 year old in me thinks it's funny to say we're "doing jillian" every morning.
lel's droopy diap. he's going to be so mad at you in 10 years.
really jillian's sneer doesn't scare you?
once when i was doing my workout, bryce was sitting on the couch watching (probably eating something), and listening to jillian "encourage" me. "she's talking to you like you're some huge fat girl", he said, and when i listened, i realized he was right. thanks a lot, jill. i'm not 300lbs, okay?
i've been doing jillian's 30 day shred for about 90 days, and i definitely don't look anything near what i'm probably supposed to. oh well.
if anything, at least my gift brought about a great video and good blog material... you're welcome.
in my defense, i changed lell's diaper right after my workout. and then he proceeded to take the clean diaper off and pooped on the floor. so i'm not really feeling bad about him having to hang out in a droopy dipe.
I think most mothers would find it cute. I did!
Probably future girlfriends too!
awesome. kids look like so much fun.
That was the best pick me up after a long day of quarterly taxes.
Your boys are adorable and I bet they'll really appreciate this in about ten years. HA!
owen was really good at that! your boys couldn't get any cuter. i love your rug. :)
Your kids do that warm up way better than mine. I'm pretty sure I'll never get past level one, and I'm okay with that. And yeah Jillian is pretty scary, but for some reason I like it when she tells me that I'm floating. I wanted to tell you at the park, you're kids are all darling and you look great too.
I only ever try workout videos at home after having babies too. I go with Denise Austen's "Bounce back after baby!" But she's so cheesy it's best muted too. I hate hearing about all the "butter I'm burning" But it never lasts long. As soon as the video tells me to get on the floor. The kids are all over me like I'm the human jungle jim. Denise and Jillian should try working out with toddlers in their videos--That I'd buy!
soooo funny, and kind of gay, especially when owie does the hip/butt/knees together swing! elliot's cheese face is really scary and the saggy diaper, i see nothing wrong with that!
HA HA HA HA!!! I loved it. So funny.
Isn't laughing considered ab excercise?
p.s.: love the blog and love the clothes you make!
that is awesome!! thanks for giving me a chuckle today :)
Hilarious!
make sure elliot never makes that face again.
katie
diana has been going on and on how this is a great workout. the hip circles...funny....don't know if i'm sold. i have to mute denise too- can't even watch jill on BL. i feel your pain.
owen should learn now that life - it's tricky to rock a rhyme, to rock a rhyme that's right on time. it's tricky...it's tricky (tricky) tricky (tricky)
amy, move back home already.
